The Pharmacist position is responsible for accurately filling, checking, and dispensing all patient prescriptions, and approving all the drug-related tasks that are carried out by Pharmacy Assistants. The incumbent will provide counseling to patients as needed and provide customer service that meets company standards.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

    Filling, preparing, checking, and dispensing patient prescriptions as per physician orders
    Providing counseling to patients as requested to ensure their understanding of what they have been prescribed
    Supervising all Pharmacy Technicians and approving all drug-related tasks that they conduct

    Coordinating with prescribers, patients, family members, caregivers, and other medical professionals to ensure seamless care and transitions between hospital and community and a full understanding of all patient therapy and care

    If required by individual employee agreements, conducting off-site visits for customers in their residences as needed to help monitor adherence to and effectiveness of therapy for individuals

    Providing specialized clinical services, including administering medications by an advanced method (which can include injections and other methods), pharmacist prescribing (including but not limited to minor ailments and smoking cessation), and medication training and other clinical services as deemed necessary by the Pharmacy

    Filling all duties of a pharmacist as defined by the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba


    In this position, the incumbent is responsible for overseeing and approving completed tasks by all Pharmacy Assistants and are responsible for decision-making that could have a significant impact on the Pharmacy in terms of its earnings, operations, or image in the community.


    As Pharmacist, the incumbent’s performance is measured by the level of effective and efficient accuracy in filling, checking, and dispensing all patient prescriptions, as well as by the level of patient satisfaction with all interactions. Incumbent will receive an annual performance review from management.


    To perform this position successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.


    The incumbent requires the completion of a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree and must be licensed through the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba as a practicing Pharmacist, plus one to two years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    The incumbent must maintain their certification and be a member in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of Manitoba.

    The incumbent will possess, or must demonstrate the willingness to acquire, certification to administer medications by an advanced method and pharmacist prescribing.

    Must possess a high degree of initiative, the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team, and possess time management, organizational and multi-tasking abilities.

    Salary: $40.00-$49.00 per hour

Pacific Medical Clinic is looking for Physicians (GP) for our new medical clinic and telemedicine practice. The GP is responsible and accountable for the comprehensive assessments of patients/clients/residents. The GP initiates treatment, including health care management, prescribes medications according to statutory and regulatory standards and policy and procedures. The GP must be willing to work with the Pacific Medical Center management team, physicians, pharmacy staff and other health care professionals.
